Family story

Tim Yancy, a Family Tree Maker user from Hampton, Georgia, has had great success using the resources that genealogical societies offer. He contacted a genealogy society in South Carolina, looking for information about a particular branch of his family. It turns out that they had a diary belonging to one of his ancestors. The diary chronicled the early days of the family, dating back to 1765. Tim had very little information on this family until the diary was discovered, so it was a great boost to his research.
