State office has birth and death records since July 1911, marriage records since May 1913, and divorce records since July 1951. For earlier records, write to County Clerk in county where event occurred.

 State Archives and Libraries

They currently have Kansas census records from 1855-1925, newspapers, manuscripts, family histories, obituaries dating back to the 1800"s, county histories, published family history books, marriage records, some death and birth records, maps arranged by county, Kansas militia roster, some land records, some church records, and a listing of historical societies, genealogical societies, and museums throughout Kansas.
