 Vital Records

State office has birth and death records since August 1898, marriage records since June 1951, and divorce records since January 1961. Birth and death ecords for city of Baltimore are available from January 1875. Will not do research for genealogical studies. Must apply to State of Maryland Archives, 350 Rowe Blvd., Annapolis, MD 21401, (410) 260-6429.

	Notes: • For county marriage records, Clerk of Circuit Court in county where license was issued or Clerk of Court of Common Pleas of Baltimore City (for licenses issued in city of Baltimore) • For divorce records, certified copies are not available from State office. Some items may be verified. Contact the Clerk of Circuit Court in the county where the divorce was granted.

 State Archives and Libraries

They currently have vital records, probate records, land records, photos, maps, newspapers, military records, naturalization and immigration records, federal census records from 1790-1910, state census records for 1700-1778, local histories, cemetery indexes, tax records, court records, and church records.
