State office has birth, marriage, and death records since 1640, divorce records since 1880. Copies of records may be obtained from State office or from City or Town Clerk in place where event occurred.

	Notes: • For town marriage records, contact the Town Clerk in town where the license was issued. Cost will vary. • For county divorce records, contact the Clerk of Superior Court in the county where the divorce was granted. Cost will vary.

They currently have court cases and Revolutionary and Civil War records.
