This CD is a linked-relationship genealogy database containing 177,859 individual records from 103 GEDCOM files. Each one of the GEDCOM files includes documentation (source notes), which add to the reliability of the data. Such documentation, while highly desirable, is uncommon among other linked genealogy databases. For each individual, you can find the following information:
• Individual's surname, given name, and middle initial (if any)
• Birth data and location
• Name(s) of spouse(s), children, and parents (if available)
• Marriage date(s) and location(s)
• Death date and location
What are the data sources for this product?
The files were contributed to GENTECH, Inc. by family historians attending the GENTECH95 Conference, and compiled into a linked database by Automated Research, Inc.
What are the system requirements?
This CD-ROM, unlike our other titles, is not viewable through Family Tree Maker or the Family Archive Viewer. The data is accessed through a separate program called GRS, which is included on the CD along with instructions. GRS is a DOS program, and therefore is not supported for the Macintosh, although we have received reports that it runs correctly under Universal Soft PC version 2.5. It does not work under SoftWindows. For PCs, this CD has the following requirements:
• A CD-ROM drive
• IBM compatible computer (286 or higher recommended)
• At least a 10 MB hard drive
• 484 KB available memory
• DOS 3.3 or higher
• MSCDEX 2.0 or newer
How does the money-back policy work?
If you are not completely satisfied with any online subscription or other intangible product, you may request a refund within seven days of the date of purchase.
If you are not completely satisfied with any Membership, data CD, or other tangible product, you may request a refund within thirty days of the date of purchase.
