Genealogically-related
Reference Sites
Have you ever found yourself wondering what day of
the week an ancestor's birth date was on? Have you ever had to figure
out the difference between Gregorian and Julian Dates? What about translating
between Moslem, Jewish, and Western-style dates? There are many sites
online which will convert calendar dates for you, estimate a birth date
from information, or display a perpetual calendar. These handy calendar
sites aren't strictly for genealogists, but they can be very helpful.
The U.S. National
Genealogy Society page (NGS) is not restricted in its usefulness
to U.S. researchers--there are many items which can be helpful to all
genealogists, such as George Archer's NetGuide, information
on genealogy numbering systems, registry of genealogy products, and
more. The U.S. National Genealogy Society http://ngsgenealogy.org
