When you first enter a forum, your screen will look something like the one above. Each line in the bulleted list is an individual post, and you can see which posts are replies to others by their indentation. Some of the forums are quite large, so if you begin to visit them regularly, you may want to take advantage of the filters at the top; they will allow you to view the latest messages, the messages from that day only, or from the last 7 days.

If you want to post a new message, just click on Post New Message. This will take you to a screen like the one below.

Just enter your name, your e-mail address, a subject line, and your message. There are two check boxes below the message box that allow you to receive notification of a reply to your message and periodic e-mail from Genealogy.com. Check or uncheck them as you prefer, click Post Message, and you have posted! There may be a slight delay as your post is added, so only click the button once.
