You may have noticed that there is a check box next to each potential match. If you look at a match and it turns out not to be your ancestor, you can choose for that match not to show up again when you come back to the search. Just click on the check boxes for any matches you don't wish to see, and click the Hide button at the bottom of the list.

When you clicked the button, the screen will refresh and only the matches you chose to keep will be displayed. If you find later that you want to see a hidden match, all you need to do is click the Restore button. You may want to use this selectively though, as it restores all hidden matches in that category for that search.
