The five titles reproduced here were originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company and represent a comprehensive collection of land and tax records for Ohio. In total, approximately 96,000 individuals are mentioned.

The records here can serve as substitutes for state census records and include the period of time before Ohio was granted statehood in 1803. While quadrennial enumerations were taken every four years from 1803 to 1911 to determine voting districts, not all counties are available nor is each township for each county included.
