  2. What kind of items was he or his family able to purchase? Could he only afford necessities or could he afford luxury items?

  3. What did his or his family's monetary assets consist of at this time in his life? Did he have a bank account or any other funds? Did he invest in the stock market?

  4. Did he work to improve his or his family's financial situation? Was he financially independent at this point in his life?

  5. Did he have any debts? Did he or his family worry about being able to pay the bills?

  6. Did he feel he was financially prepared for retirement?

  7. Was he satisfied with his financial status or did he want more or less money? Was he ever jealous of anybody because of their financial status?

  8. Did his financial situation give him opportunities? For example, was he able to travel or retire early? Did his financial situation deprive him of anything?

  9. Did he create a will at this point in his life? Was money an important part of it?
