  1. Under what circumstances did he move? Whose decision was it to move? Was he happy with the decision? Why or why not?

  2. Was he attending school at the time? If so, did he have to switch schools once he moved? How did he feel about this? How did his friends react? Was it hard for him to adjust to a new school?

  3. Were there other children on his block who he was friends with? How did he react to moving away from them? Did he get upset, or was he only moving a short distance so that he could still visit?

  4. Describe his feelings on the night before he moved. Was he excited or, maybe, depressed about leaving his home?

  5. How far did he move? Around the block, to the next town, or to a different state? Was it easy for him to adjust to his new surroundings? Why or why not?

  6. Describe the home into which he moved. Was it a house, a condominium, or an apartment? Did it have a yard? Was it an improvement in his living conditions?

  7. Was the move a significant change? If so, did he have to make any adjustments? What did he find to be the biggest difference between the two areas?

  8. Was he able to meet new people quickly in his new area? What did he think of his new neighbors?

  9. Did he lose touch with anyone because of the move? With whom? Did he regret not keeping in touch? Why or why not?

  10. Was there anything that he always treasured about this experience? If so, explain.
