- Under what circumstances did you move? Were you unable to live on your own anymore? Were you moving closer to family? Whose decision was it to move? Were you happy with the decision? Why or why not?
- Did you have a job at the time or had you retired? Were you living close to friends? Was it hard to give these things up or were you happy to do something new?
- Were you married at the time of the move? Did you have any children? Were there disagreements about moving? Who was for it and who was against it?
- Describe your feelings on the night before you moved. Were you excited or, maybe, depressed about leaving your home?
- How long did it take you to move? Was it organized or chaotic? Did other family members or friends help you move and get situated in your new home?
- How far did you move? Around the block, to the next town, or to a different state? Was it easy for you to adjust to your new surroundings? Why or why not?
