- Did he travel to a place where a foreign language was spoken? Did he have a funny or troubling experience of miscommunication?
- What was different or remarkable about the culture or the lifestyle of the place he visited? What was the standard of living in the place he visited? How was the food? How were his accommodations?
- What did he buy or want to buy during his trip? Did he have trouble with foreign currency or exchange rates? Did he have a favorite souvenir?

- What did he learn about himself during his travels? Did he feel that his traveling experiences changed him in any way? How did he feel about going home?
