  1. Where did she go in her travels, including parts of her own country? How did she choose where she wanted to go? How did she plan and prepare for the trip?

  2. Did she travel by car, train, boat, or some other means of transportation? Did anything unusual happen while she was in transit? How long did it take to get to her destination? How did she feel when she arrived?

  3. Did she have kids at this point? Did she find that it was harder to travel with kids than it was before she had them? What adjustments did she have to make?

  4. Did she travel to a place where a foreign language was spoken? Did she have a funny or troubling experience of miscommunication?

  5. What was different or remarkable about the culture or the lifestyle of the place she visited? What was the standard of living in the place she visited? How was the food? How were her accommodations?

  6. What did she buy or want to buy during her trip? Did she have trouble with foreign currency and exchange rates? Did she have a favorite souvenir?

  7. Was she traveling alone or with a group? Describe some of the people she met on her trip. Did she befriend anyone? If so, was she able to maintain that friendship after her travels were over?

  8. How would she describe the places of interest that she visited? What were the physical qualities of the place she visited? How was the climate?

  9. What did she learn about the place she visited? Did she participate in any festivals or special activities? Did she get to do everything she wanted to?

  10. Did she have any bad experiences while traveling, such as a theft, injury, illness, or homesickness? Did she get lost? How did she handle any bad experiences she might have had?

  11. Did she keep a travel diary? If so, what experiences was she able to record in it? Did she go back to the diary to relive her experiences after the trip?

  12. What did she learn about herself during her travels? Did she feel that her traveling experiences changed her in any way? How did she feel about going home?
