- Some say that the Scopes trial of 1925 was where the "clash between traditional beliefs and modern ideas met head on." Did he agree with this statement? Why or why not?
- John Thomas Scopes was brought to trial in 1925 for teaching the theory of evolution in the school. Although his students testified that the information about evolution didn't hurt them, Scopes was found guilty. Did he think Scopes should have been found guilty?
