  1. What traditions did she and her family have? Did they eat special foods on special days? Did they make a point of spending time together on certain days?

  2. As she grew older, were there family traditions that she found she disliked? What new traditions had been introduced to the family? What did she think about them?

  3. As a senior, was there a special holiday on which she and her family carried out traditions? Religious or state holidays, for example? What did she do on these days? Were any special days forgotten by the younger generation?

  4. How were birthdays or anniversaries special in her family? What did they do differently from what other families do? Did her friends or family organize parties for her special days?

  5. As a senior, had her family moved away from her? If yes, did she miss the everyday family routines from the past, such as eating together or playing games in the evenings?

  6. Did she and her family get together regularly to take family portraits? Did she like to do this or did she dread it?

  7. Did she have family reunions when she was a senior? How often? How had these changed from when she was younger? Whom did she look forward to seeing?
