1. Jesse Woodson¹ James (Robert Sallee², John M³, William⁴), son of Robert Sallee James and Zerelda Cole, was born in Clay, Missouri 5 SEP 1847. Jesse died 3 APR 1882 in St Joseph, Missouri, at 34 years of age. His body was interred in Kearney, Clay, Missouri.

He married Zerelda Amanda Mimms 24 APR 1874. Zerelda was born 21 JUL 1845. Zerelda was the daughter of John Mimms and Mary James. Zerelda died 13 NOV 1900 at 55 years of age.

Jesse Woodson James and Zerelda Amanda Mimms had the following children:

2 i. Mary Susan James. She married Henry Lafayette Barr 6 MAR 1901.

3 ii. Gould James.

4 iii. Montgomery James.

5 iv. Jesse Edwards James was born 31 AUG 1875. Jesse died 26 MAR 1951 at 75 years of age. He married Stella McGowan 24 JAN 1900.
