21. James³ Cole (Stephen⁴, Thomas Jr.⁵, Thomas Sr.⁶) was born in England or Wales 1695. James died 1775 in Pitts county, Virginia, British American Colonies, at 80 years of age.

He married Mary Renfroe about 1725. Mary is the daughter of John Renfroe and Elizabeth Renfroe.

James Cole and Mary Renfroe had the following children:

22 i. James² Cole was born in New Castle, Delaware, British American Colonies about 1730. James died 19 MAY 1794 in Coles Creek Settlement, Natchez, Mississippi, USA, at 63 years of age. He married an unknown person in Bedford county, Virginia, British American Colonies, 19 MAY 1754.

23 ii. Stephen Cole was born in Chester County, Pennsylvania 1736. Stephen died about 1800 in Montgomery county, Virginia, USA. He married an unknown person about 1756.

+ 15 iii. Mary Coles was born about 1740.
