Ancestry
of Barbara Walters
 |
| Since starting
out as the assistant to a publicity director at a local NBC affiliate
when she was 22, Barbara Walters has become one of the most well-known
television journalists. In 1976, Walters became the first woman
to coanchor a network evening news program. Since then she's practiced
her trademark interviewing technique on everyone from Tom
Cruise to Fidel Castro and holds the notable distinction of
having interviewed every U.S. President since Richard
Nixon. |
