18. Josiah⁵ Franklin (Thomas⁴ Franckline, Henry³, Thomas², ¹ Franklin) was born in Of Boston, Suffolk, Mass. 23 DEC 1652. Josiah died 16 JAN 1745 in Boston, Suffolk, MA, at 92 years of age.

He married four times. He married Anne Child in Of N'Hants, England, about 1675. He married Mrs-James Franklin in Of, Rehoboth, Bristol, Massachusetts, 1676. He married Abiah Folger in Boston, Suffolk, Mass. 13 Children, 25 NOV 1689. Abiah was born in Of Boston, Suffolk, Mass. 15 AUG 1667. Abiah was the daughter of Peter Folger and Mary Morill. Abiah died 18 MAY 1752 in Boston, Suffolk, MA, at 84 years of age. He married Elizabeth Hammond in Swansea, Bristol Co., Mass., 17 APR 1695.

He was christened in Ecton, Northamptonshire, England, 23 DEC 1657.

Josiah Franklin and Abiah Folger had the following children:

20 i. John⁶ Franklin was born in Of Boston, Suffolk, Mass. 7 DEC 1690. John died 30 JAN 1756 in Boston, Sfflk, Mass, at 65 years of age. He married Mary Elizabeth Gooch Iv in MA, about 1726.

21 ii. Peter Franklin was born in Of Boston, Suffolk, Mass. 22 NOV 1692. Peter died 1 JUL 1766 at 73 years of age. He married Mary Harman in Boston, Suffolk, MA, 2 SEP 1714.

22 iii. Mary Franklin was born in Of Boston, Suffolk, Mass. 26 SEP 1694. Mary died about 1730 in Probably, Martha's Vinyard, Dukes, MA. She married twice. She married Arthur Aylesworth JR in Of, Bristol, MA. She married Robert Homes in Boston, Suffolk, MA, 3 APR 1716.

23 iv. James Franklin was born in Of Boston, Suffolk, Mass. 4 FEB 1696. James died FEB 1735 in New England, at 39 years of age. He married Ann Smith in Boston, Suffolk, MA, 4 FEB 1723.

24 v. Sarah Franklin was born in Of Boston, Suffolk, Mass. 9 JUL 1699. Sarah died 23 MAY 1731 at 31 years of age. She married James Davenport in Boston, Suffolk, MA, 3 MAY 1722.

25 vi. Ebenezer Franklin was born in Of Boston, Suffolk, Mass. 20 SEP 1701. Ebenezer died FEB 1702 in Drowned, Nantucket, MA, at less than one year of age.

26 vii. Thomas Franklin was born in Of Boston, Suffolk, Mass. 7 DEC 1703. Thomas died 17 AUG 1706 in Boston, Suffolk Co., MA, at 2 years of age.

+ 27 viii. Benjamin Franklin was born 17 JAN 1706.

28 ix. Lydia Franklin was born in Of Boston, Suffolk, Mass. 8 AUG 1708. Lydia died 1758 in Boston, Suffolk, MA, at 49 years of age. She married twice. She married Erastus Rowley about 1730. She married George Brewer in Boston, Suffolk, MA, 24 SEP 1747.

29 x. Jane Franklin was born in Of Boston, Suffolk, Mass. 27 MAR 1712. Jane died 1795 at 83 years of age. She married Edward Mecom.
