1. Carole¹ Lombard (Frederick C.² Peters, John Claus³, Claus⁴), daughter of Frederick C. Peters and Elizabeth Knight, was born in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana 6 Oct 1908.⁽¹⁾ Carole died 19 Jan 1942 in Nevada, at 33 years of age.

She married twice. She married William Powell. She married Clark Gable in Kingman, Arizona, 29 Mar 1939. Clark was born in Cadiz, Ohio 1 Feb 1901.
