29. Roswell⁵ Cheney (John⁶, Tristram⁷, John⁸, John⁹, Peter¹⁰, John¹¹) was born in Keene, Cheshire, New Hampshire 17 May 1789.⁽⁶⁸⁾

He married Abigail Willard in St. Johnsbury, Caledonia, Vermont, 13 Dec 1812.⁽⁶⁹⁾ Abigail was born in St. Johnsbury, Caledonia, Vermont 6 Dec 1793.⁽⁷⁰⁾ Abigail was the daughter of James Willard and Grout. Abigail died 28 Jun 1860 in Logansport, Cass, Indiana, at 66 years of age.⁽⁷¹⁾ Her body was interred 1860 in Logansport, Cass, Indiana, Mount Hope Cemetery.⁽⁷²⁾

Roswell Cheney and Abigail Willard had the following children:

30 i. Cornelia Maria⁴ Cheney was born in Sutton, Caledonia, Vermont 19 Sep 1813.⁽⁷³⁾ She died in infancy.

31 ii. Roswell Willard Cheney was born in Sutton, Caledonia, Vermont 21 Jan 1815.⁽⁷⁴⁾ Roswell died 27 Aug 1844 in Toledo, Lucas, Ohio, at 29 years of age.⁽⁷⁵⁾ He married Lucy Wisewall 9 Oct 1837.⁽⁷⁶⁾ Lucy was born 21 May 1822. Lucy was the daughter of Samuel Wisewall Jr. and Huldah Parker.

+ 24 iii. James Cheney was born 16 Dec 1817.

32 iv. Cornelia Maria Cheney was born 4 Jun 1823. She married George Knickerbocker.

She resided in Hillsdale, Hillsdale, Michigan 1897.⁽⁷⁷⁾
