The daughter of entertainers Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, Carrie Fisher was born in the spotlight. By the time she was in junior high, Fisher was appearing in her mother's nightclub act. She made her feature film debut with Warren Beatty in Shampoo (1975) but rose to fame as Princess Leia in Star Wars (1977). Since then, Fisher has overcome addiction and depression to become an author and accomplished screenwriter.
