9. Stephen³ Barton (Edmund⁴, Samuel⁵, Matthew⁶, Edward⁷) was born in Sutton, Worcester, MA 10 Jun 1740. Stephen died 21 Oct 1804 in Windsor, ME, at 64 years of age. His body was interred in Windsor, Kennebunk, ME.

He married Dorothy Moore in Sutton, Worcester, MA, 28 May 1765. Dorothy was born in Oxford, Worcester, Massachusetts 12 Apr 1747. Dorothy was the daughter of Elijah Moore and Dorothy Learned. Dorothy died 11 Nov 1838 in Oxford, Worcester, Massachusetts, at 91 years of age.

Stephen Barton and Dorothy Moore had the following child:
