2. William Franklin² Boothe (John William Thomas³, John Waters⁴) was born in Poolseville, Montgomery, Maryland 10 Apr 1862.⁽²⁾ William died 15 Dec 1928 in Redondo Beach, California, at 66 years of age.⁽³⁾

He married three times. He married Isa Hill.⁽⁴⁾ He married Laura Olivia Brauss in Camden, Camden, New Jersey, 7 Nov 1886.⁽⁵⁾ Laura was born ca 1867. Laura was divorced from William Franklin Boothe 23 Apr 1907.⁽⁶⁾ This divorce, based on New York law at the time, would require that William Franklin Boothe remain single in the state of New York⁽⁷⁾.

He married Anna Clara Snyder. There has been much written about when Clare's parents were married. However, as you willl see by his other marriage, it was impossible for William to have ever married Anna Clara Snyder.

Anna was born in New York, New York, New York 29 Aug 1882.⁽⁸⁾ Anna was the daughter of John Schneider and Louisa Weber. Anna died 1 Jan 1938 in Miami, Dade, Florida, at 55 years of age.⁽⁹⁾

William was divorced from Laura Olivia Brauss 23 Apr 1907.⁽¹⁰⁾ This divorce, based on New York law at the time, would require that William Franklin Boothe remain single in the state of New York⁽¹¹⁾.

William Franklin Boothe and Anna Clara Snyder had the following children:

David Franklin¹ Boothe was born in New York, New York, New York 30 Mar 1902.⁽¹²⁾ Because his parents were not married to each other, father William still married to his second wife, Anna Clara, listed David's surname as Franklin and gave much misinformation on his birth certificate to hide his true parentage.
