22. John G.⁴ Gable was born in Pennsylvania 1790. John died 5 Jan 1866 in prob. Crawford Co., Penn., at 75 years of age. This date of death is based on an entry for a John G. Gable who is buried in Greendale Cemetery in Vernon, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, while a large number of the cemeteries for this area have been transcribed, Greendale Cemetery was only partially done, and the Gables were not included.

This conjecture is based on the fact that his son, Charles, who died in 1898 was also buried in this same cemetery, in a different lot within the same section. Charles place of interment was originally found in his death register entry.

The possible date of death for John G. is also supported by the fact that his wife Sarah is living as the head of the household in the 1870 census, with her daughters Sophia and Rebecca.

He married Sarah Frankenfield. Sarah was born in Pennsylvania 1794.⁽⁵⁰⁾ Sarah was the daughter of Johann Philip Frankenfield and Catharine Haupt. Sarah died 28 Apr 1872 in Meadville, at 77 years of age.⁽⁵¹⁾

John G. Gable and Sarah Frankenfield had the following children:

23 i. Rebecca³ Gable was born in Pennsylvania CA 1820.⁽⁵²⁾

24 ii. Sophia Gable was born in Pennsylvania CA 1822.⁽⁵³⁾ Sophia died 6 Apr 1888 at 65 years of age. This date of death is based on an entry for a Sophia Gable who is buried in Greendale Cemetery in Vernon, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, while a large number of the cemeteries for this area have been transcribed, Greendale Cemetery was only partially done, and the Gables were not included. She is listed in the same Section as John G. Gable, though in a different lot.

25 iii. Thomas Gable was born CA 1827.⁽⁵⁴⁾
