| Daniel Boone
was a famous pioneer, known for cutting out the route through the
Cumberland Gap that opened up what became the state of Kentucky.
Although he had little formal schooling, Daniel did learn to read
and write and would publish a narrative called The Adventures
of Colonel Daniel Boone in 1784. |
