Ancestry
of Davy Crockett
 |
| Best known
for his stand at the Alamo, Davy Crockett was also involved in politics
(he was elected to the legislature two times). In 1836, Davy was
one of about 180 men who died defending the Alamo. It is believed
that he and five others initially survived the taking of the fort
but were executed by firing squad. |
