He married Mary Trolinger 12 Dec 1815.⁽³²⁾ Mary was born 1800.⁽³³⁾ Mary was the daughter of Henry Trollinger and Mary Thomas. Mary died 1879 at 79 years of age.⁽³⁴⁾

John Roney and Mary Trolinger had the following children:

22 i. Benjamin F.³ Roney was born 4 Oct 1816. Benjamin died 6 Jun 1876 at 59 years of age.⁽³⁵⁾ He married twice. He married Delilah A. Montgomery in Orange Co., North Carolina, 27 Aug 1839. Delilah was born in Orange Co., North Carolina 1820. Delilah was the daughter of William Montgomery and Sarah Albright. Delilah died 1846 in Orange Co., North Carolina, at 26 years of age. He married Cornelia M. Hazell.

23 ii. Henry C. Roney⁽³⁶⁾ was born 1818. Henry died 1860 at 42 years of age. He married Elizabeth Tarpley 27 Jul 1842. Elizabeth was born 1825. Elizabeth died 1900 at 75 years of age.

24 iii. John Trolinger Roney⁽³⁷⁾ was born 1823. John died 1871 in Tuckerman, Arkansas, at 48 years of age. He married Elizabeth Jane Graham in Orange Co., North Carolina, 11 Sep 1845.⁽³⁸⁾ Elizabeth was born 1828. Elizabeth died 1857 at 29 years of age.

25 iv. Catherine Roney⁽³⁹⁾ was born 1824. Catherine died 1902 at 78 years of age. She married Brice F. Fonville 4 Dec 1845. Brice was born 1826. Brice died 1900 at 74 years of age.

26 v. Elizabeth Roney⁽⁴⁰⁾ was born 1827. Elizabeth died 1882 at 55 years of age.

+ 9 vi. Artelia Roney was born 1829.

27 vii. Calvin Newton Roney⁽⁴¹⁾ was born 1831. Calvin died 1900 at 69 years of age. He married Eliza Tapscott Roney bef 1864. Eliza was born 1838. Eliza died 1923 at 85 years of age.

28 viii. Mary Roney⁽⁴²⁾ was born 1832. She married Philip Crawford 3 Sep 1866.

29 ix. Armecia Roney was born 1833. Armecia died 1891 at 58 years of age. She married William L. Rogers. William was born 1839. William died 1863 at 24 years of age.

30 x. Joseph Roney⁽⁴³⁾ was born 1836. Joseph died 1894 at 58 years of age.

31 xi. Barbara Anne Roney⁽⁴⁴⁾ was born 1838. Barbara died 1922 at 84 years of age.

32 xii. Amos Kendall Roney⁽⁴⁵⁾ was born in Orange Co., North Carolina 1841. Amos died 1926 in Haw River, Alamance, North Carolina, at 85 years of age. He married N. Elizabeth Vincent in Alamance Co., North Carolina, 1869. N. was born 1851. N. died 1924 at 73 years of age.
