He married Margaret Jane Perigo in Warrick County, Indiana, 11 Oct 1849.⁽²¹⁾ Margaret was born in Warrick County, Indiana 26 Jan 1830.⁽²²⁾ Margaret was the daughter of Jonathan Perigo and Isabella McGill. Margaret died 4 Dec 1866 in Warrick County, Indiana, at 36 years of age.⁽²³⁾

Peter Taylor and Margaret Jane Perigo had the following children:

17 i. John Lewis³ Taylor⁽²⁴⁾ was born in Anderson, Warrick, Indiana 30 Aug 1850. John died 29 Dec 1913 in Newburg, Warrick, Indiana, at 63 years of age.⁽²⁵⁾ He married Katie E. Barker in Warrick County, Indiana, 5 Jan 1879. Katie was born 7 Jan 1852. Katie died 28 Apr 1908 in Boonville, Warrick, Indiana, at 56 years of age.

18 ii. Theodore H. Taylor⁽²⁶⁾ was born in Warrick County, Indiana ca 1853.⁽²⁷⁾ Theodore died 1915 at 62 years of age. He married Ella Haas.

19 iii. Union T. Taylor was born in Indiana ca 1854.⁽²⁸⁾ He married Jannett Christine Mitchell.⁽²⁹⁾

20 iv. George W. Taylor was born in Indiana ca 1856.⁽³⁰⁾

21 v. Albert P. Taylor was born in Indiana ca 1859.⁽³¹⁾ He married Fanny Saunders.

+ 7 vi. Francis Marion Taylor was born 1860.

22 vii. Benton Virgil Taylor was born in Indiana ca 1863.⁽³²⁾ He married twice. He married Ida Miller bef 1893.⁽³³⁾ He married Armeda Logsdon 4 Sep 1898.⁽³⁴⁾

23 viii. Lilly J. Taylor⁽³⁵⁾ was born in Warrick County, Indiana ca 1866. She married John LaVance 5 Nov 1889. John was born in Illinois 4 May 1863. John died 16 Mar 1945 in Kansas, at 81 years of age.
