Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor was born February 27, 1932, in London, England. Her parents, art dealers from St. Louis, Missouri, were living abroad and setting up a gallery. The family lived in London until Elizabeth was 7 when they relocated to Los Angeles to escape World War II. Soon, her dark hair and famously violet eyes attracted the attention of a talent scout who suggested she do a screen test. By the time she was 10, her first film There's One Born Every Minute was being released.
