21. Allen⁴ Hemingway (Jacob Street⁵, Jacob⁶, Abraham⁷ Hemenway, Abraham⁸, Samuel⁹, Ralph¹⁰)⁽⁴³⁾ was born in Plymouth, Litchfield, Connecticut 8 Jul 1808. Allen died 29 Nov 1886 in Norwood Park, Peoria, Illinois, at 78 years of age.

He married twice. He married Marietta Linsley in Branford, New Haven, Connecticut, 11 Aug 1833. Marietta was born in Branford, New Haven, Connecticut 28 Sep 1808. Marietta was the daughter of Ebenezer Linsley and Bethiah Russell. Marietta died 19 Dec 1842 at 34 years of age. He married Harriet Louisa Tyler in Branford, New Haven, Connecticut, 3 May 1843. Harriet was born in Branford, New Haven, Connecticut 10 Aug 1819.⁽⁴⁴⁾ Harriet was the daughter of Anson Tyler and Harriet Linsley.

Allen Hemingway and Marietta Linsley had the following children:

22 i. Rodney³ Hemingway was born in Plymouth, Litchfield, Connecticut 1835.⁽⁴⁵⁾ Rodney died 5 Apr 1863 at 27 years of age.⁽⁴⁶⁾

23 ii. Riley J. Hemingway was born in Plymouth, Litchfield, Connecticut 1836.⁽⁴⁷⁾ Riley died 17 Feb 1839 at 2 years of age.⁽⁴⁸⁾

24 iii. Mary Ann Hemingway was born in Plymouth, Litchfield, Connecticut 17 Mar 1837.⁽⁴⁹⁾ Mary died 7 Apr 1921 at 84 years of age.⁽⁵⁰⁾ She married George A. Stoughton 10 Mar 1855.⁽⁵¹⁾

25 iv. Roselia Lucretia Hemingway was born in Plymouth, Litchfield, Connecticut 20 Jul 1839.⁽⁵²⁾ Roselia died 6 Oct 1915 at 76 years of age.⁽⁵³⁾

26 v. George R. Hemingway was born in Plymouth, Litchfield, Connecticut ca 1842.⁽⁵⁴⁾ George died 17 Oct 1862 at 20 years of age.⁽⁵⁵⁾

Allen Hemingway and Harriet Louisa Tyler had the following children:

28 viii. Harriet Lucretia Hemingway was born in Plymouth, Litchfield, Connecticut 11 Sep 1850.⁽⁶⁰⁾ Harriet died 25 Sep 1933 at 83 years of age.⁽⁶¹⁾ She married Alexander Smith 28 Dec 1870.⁽⁶²⁾

29 ix. Rodney Porter Hemingway was born in Plymouth, Litchfield, Connecticut 1 Oct 1853.⁽⁶³⁾ Rodney died 1855 at 1 year of age.⁽⁶⁴⁾
