24. Sarah Virginia⁴ Hendricks (John M.⁵) was born in Mississippi abt 1840.

She married German Nicholas Jordan in Yazoo Co., Mississippi, 2 Jul 1856. German was born in Virginia ca 1827. German was the son of German Jordan and Rebecca Reid. German died 30 Oct 1888 at 61 years of age. He resided in Yazoo Co., Mississippi 31 Jul 1860. At the time of the enumeration, German Nicholas Jordan (listed in the 1860 census of Yazoo County, Mississippi as G. N. Jordon) is shown with real estate in the value of $205,000. His personal estate was valued at $180,310. A search of the 1860 slave schedule for Yazoo County revealed a listing for G. N. Jordan with 142 slaves living in 22 slave houses.
