He married Harriet Eleanor Fay in New York, New York, New York, 24 Feb 1859. Harriet was born in Savannah, Georgia 29 Oct 1829. Harriet was the daughter of Samuel Howard Fay and Susan Shellman. Harriet died 27 Feb 1924 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, at 94 years of age.
