He married Sarah Coe in Union Co., Ohio, 8 Feb 1855.⁽¹¹³⁾ Sarah was born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania 24 May 1831.⁽¹¹⁴⁾ Sarah died 30 May 1901 at 70 years of age.

John William Robinson and Sarah Coe had the following child:

+ 20 i. James Edgar⁴ Robinson was born 1869.
