2. Don² Furcillo-Rose (Samuel R. Furcillo³ Furcella) was born in prob Monmouth County, New Jersey 23 May 1909. Don died 27 Jul 1997 in Ocean Grove, Monmouth County, New Jersey, at 88 years of age.

He married June Frances Nicholson in Elkton, Cecil County, Maryland, 16 Oct 1936. Elkton, Maryland, like Las Vegas, Nevada, was a town notorious for its quickie marriages. According to Eve's Magazine (http://www.evesmag.com/nicholson.htm) "Young Jack Nicholson: Auspicious Beginnings" page 5, the Certificate of Marriage for Don and June was found in the possession of Don's mother (Antoinette [--?--] Furcillo , along with love letters, family letters, photographs and a collection of newspaper clippings about her grandson, Jack Nicholson, This article claims that Don paid $10 at the local courthouse to a gentleman who put him in touch with the Rev. Walter Schaeffer, to whom Don, explaining the circumstances surrounding the nuptials [Don was still legally married to Anne Born/Borne and awaiting an annulment of their marriage from the Catholic Church].

Supposedly the minister did not file the certificate in Elkton marriage records, and that Don paid him $20 to keep it out of the newspapers also. The Maryland marriage records have not been searched to date to verify whether this is true or not--mvg 020907.

Regardless, Don was still legally married to another woman and Don and June never lived together openly as husband and wife.

June was born in Pittsfield, Berkshire, Massachusetts 5 Nov 1918.⁽¹⁾ June was the daughter of John J. Nicholson and Ethel May Rhoads. June died 31 Jul 1963 in prob California, at 44 years of age. Her body was interred in San Fernando, California Mission Cemetery. Jack Nicholson did not find out until he was 37 that the individuals he thought were his parents were actually his grandparents. While his maternal line is known, Jack's paternal lineage is based on the fact that June and Don were married when she would have been pregnant with Jack.
