32. Rosanna⁴ Cox (Philip⁵) was born about 1836. Rosanna died March 10, 1879 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, at 42 years of age.⁽¹³⁸⁾ After hearing the news of a dreadful train accident carrying her husband and sons, Rosanna collapsed, grieving for the family she thought she lost. She died two hours later of cerebral apoplexy, a term used to describe sudden shock. Her body was interred 15 Mar 1879 in Malden, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, Holy Cross Cemetery.⁽¹³⁹⁾ There is just a timey stone marker bearing her name, followed in large block letters by the simple epitaph MOTHER.

She married Thomas Fitzgerald in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, November 15, 1857.⁽¹⁴⁰⁾ Thomas was born circa 1835. Thomas was the son of Michael Fitzgerald and Ellen Wilmouth. Thomas died May 19, 1885 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, at 49 years of age.⁽¹⁴¹⁾ (See Thomas Fitzgerald for the children resulting from this marriage.)
