He married Mary Baker DeGraffenried 18 Nov 1779.⁽¹³⁴⁾ Mary was born in Lunenburg County, Virginia 3 Sep 1764. Mary was the daughter of Baker DeGraffenried and Sarah Vass. Mary died 7 Jan 1823 in Williamson County, Tennessee, at 58 years of age.

Nancy Johnson⁽¹⁴⁰⁾ was born in Rockingham County, North Carolina 14 Jul 1784.⁽¹⁴¹⁾ Nancy died 23 Sep 1868 in Davidson County, Tennessee, at 84 years of age.⁽¹⁴²⁾ She married George Chadwell in Rockingham County, North Carolina, 25 Dec 1806.⁽¹⁴³⁾ George was born 25 Nov 1783.
