2. Amos Bronson² Alcott (Joseph Chatfield³, John⁴, John⁵, John⁶, Phillip⁷) was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 29 Nov 1799. Amos died Mar 1888 at 88 years of age.

He married Abigail May 23 May 1830. Abigail was born in Boston, Suffolk, MA 8 Oct 1800. Abigail was the daughter of Joseph May and Doroth Sewell. Abigail died 1877 at 76 years of age.

Amos Bronson Alcott and Abigail May had the following children:

3 i. Anna Bronson¹ Alcott was born in Germantown, Philadelphia, PA 16 Mar 1831. She married John B. Pratt 23 May 1860.

+ 1 ii. Louisa May Alcott was born 29 Nov 1832.

4 iii. Elizabeth Sewall Alcott was born in Boston, Suffolk, MA 24 Jun 1835. Elizabeth died 14 Mar 1858 at 22 years of age.

5 iv. May Alcott was born in Concord, Middlesex, MA 26 Jul 1840.
