7. Joseph Chatfield³ Alcott (John⁴, John⁵, John⁶, Phillip⁷) was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 7 May 1771. Joseph died 3 Apr 1829 at 57 years of age.

He married Anna Bronson in Wolcott, New Haven, CT, 13 Oct 1796. Anna was born in prob Wolcott, New Haven, CT 1773. Anna was the daughter of Amos Bronson. Anna died 15 Aug 1863 in West Edmeston, NY, at 90 years of age.

Joseph Chatfield Alcott and Anna Bronson had the following children:

8 i. Betsey² Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 4 Apr 1798. Betsey died 5 Nov 1798 at less than one year of age.

+ 2 ii. Amos Bronson Alcott was born 29 Nov 1799.

9 iii. Chatfield Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 23 Oct 1801. He married twice. He married Nancy Comstock. He married Miranda Bailey.

10 iv. Pamelia Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 4 Feb 1805. Pamelia died 11 Feb 1849 at 44 years of age. She married James Bailey.

11 v. Betsey Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 14 Feb 1808. She married Linus Pardee.

12 vi. Phebe Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 18 Feb 1810. Phebe died 28 Jul 1844 at 34 years of age. She married William Norton.

13 vii. George Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 26 Mar 1812. George died 12 Jul 1812 at less than one year of age.

14 viii. Junius Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 6 Jul 1818. Junius died 16 Apr 1852 at 33 years of age. He married Nancy Jane Pritchard.

15 ix. Ambrose Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 10 Sep 1820. He married Anna V. Upson.
