He married Mary Chatfield in Connecticut, 28 Aug 1755. Mary was born in Derby, New Haven, CT 11 Oct 1736. Mary was the daughter of Solomon Chatfield and Hannah Pierson. Mary died 28 Feb 1807 in Wolcott, New Haven, CT, at 70 years of age.

John Alcott and Mary Chatfield had the following children:

21 ii. Solomon Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 8 May 1759. Solomon died 21 May 1818 in Wolcott, New Haven, CT, at 59 years of age. He married twice. He married Pamelia Roberts 14 Jul 1784. He married Abigail.

22 iii. Samuel Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 29 Nov 1761. Samuel died 9 Jun 1819 at 57 years of age. He married Lydia Warner 18 Dec 1783.

23 iv. John Blakeslee Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 24 Jun 1764. John died 17 Sep 1837 at 73 years of age. He married Lois Gaylord.

24 v. Mary Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 8 Sep 1766. Mary died 18 Feb 1770 at 3 years of age.

25 vi. Isaac Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 12 Apr 1769. Isaac died 12 Sep 1809 at 40 years of age. He married Isabel Lane in Connecticut, 1793.

+ 7 vii. Joseph Chatfield Alcott was born 7 May 1771.

26 viii. Mark Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 11 May 1773. Mark died 21 Nov 1846 at 73 years of age. He married Mary Lane in Connecticut, 1795.

27 ix. Thomas Alcott was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 16 Oct 1775. Thomas died 27 Apr 1778 at 2 years of age.
