3. James V² Stuart (James IV³, James III⁴, James II⁵, James I⁶, Robert III⁷) was born in Scotland 15 Apr 1512. James died 14 Dec 1542 in Fife, Scotland, at 30 years of age.

He married twice. He married Madeleine de France in Paris, France, 1 Jan 1537. Madeleine was born in Paris, France 10 Aug 1520. Madeleine died 7 Jul 1537 in Edinburgh, Scotland, at 16 years of age. He married Mary de Guise de Lorraine 9 May 1538. Mary was born in Bar-le-Duc, France 22 Nov 1515. Mary was the daughter of Claude of Guise de Lorraine Duke of Guise and Antoinette de Bourbon Duchess of Guise.

James V Stuart and Mary de Guise de Lorraine had the following children:

4 i. James¹ Stuart Duke of Rothesay was born in Fife, Scotland 22 May 1540. James died Apr 1541 in Fife, Scotland, at less than one year of age.

5 ii. Arthur Robert Stuart Duke of Rothesay was born in Fife, Scotland Apr 1541. Arthur died Apr 1541 at less than one year of age.

+ 1 iii. Mary Stuart "Queen of Scots" was born 7 Dec 1542.
