23. James III⁴ Stuart (James II⁵, James I⁶, Robert III⁷) was born in Stirling, Scotland 10 Jul 1451. James died 11 Jun 1488 in Bannockburn, Scotland, at 36 years of age.

He married Margaret Oldenburg 13 Jul 1469. Margaret was born 23 Jun 1456. Margaret was the daughter of Christian I Oldenberg and Dorothea von Bradenburg. Margaret died 14 Jul 1486 at 30 years of age.

James III Stuart and Margaret Oldenburg had the following children:

+ 9 i. James IV³ Stuart was born 17 Mar 1473.

24 ii. James Stuart Duke of Ross was born Mar 1476. James died 12 Jan 1504 in Edinburgh, Scotland, at 27 years of age.

25 iii. John Stuart Earl of Mar was born Dec 1479. John died 2 Mar 1486 at 6 years of age.

26 iv. Margaret Stuart.
