He married twice. He married Elizabeth Georgina Poyntz 23 Feb 1830. Elizabeth was born 1799. Elizabeth was the daughter of William Stephen Poyntz and Elizabeth Mary Browne. Elizabeth died 10 Apr 1851 at 51 years of age. He married Adelaide Horatia Elizabeth Seymour 9 Aug 1854. Adelaide was born 1825. Adelaide was the daughter of Sir Horace Beauchamp Seymour and Elizabeth Malet Palk. Adelaide died 29 Oct 1877 at 52 years of age.

Frederick Spencer Earl or Spencer 4th and Elizabeth Georgina Poyntz had the following children:

82 i. Lady Georgina Frances⁵ Spencer was born 1832. Lady died 1852 at 20 years of age.

83 ii. John Poyntz Spencer Earl Spencer 5th was born 27 Oct 1835. John died 13 Aug 1910 at 74 years of age. He married Charlotte Frances Frederica Seymour 8 Jul 1858. Charlotte was born 1835. Charlotte was the daughter of Frederick Charles William Seymour and Lady Augusta Hervey. Charlotte died 31 Oct 1903 at 68 years of age.

84 iii. Lady Sarah Spencer was born 1838. Lady died 1919 at 81 years of age.

Frederick Spencer Earl or Spencer 4th and Adelaide Horatia Elizabeth Seymour had the following children:

+ 52 iv. Charles Robert Spencer was born 30 Oct 1857.

85 v. Lady Victoria Alexandria Spencer. She married William Mansfield Viscount Sandhurst 1st 29 Jul 1881.
