He married Emma J. Byrd. Emma was born in Ohio ca 1860.⁽¹⁰⁹⁾ Emma⁽¹¹⁰⁾ was the daughter of Reuben Byrd and Sarah Hemings. Emma died 1940 at 80 years of age.

George Young and Emma J. Byrd had the following children:

6 v. Irvin Young was born 1889.

9 viii. Guy Young was born 1894.

10 ix. Cora Young was born 1897.

11 x. Nora Young was born 1897.

12 xi. Ida Mae Young was born 1900. Ida died 1969 at 69 years of age.

13 xii. William Young was born 1903.
