He married Eliza Ellice in St. George's, Hanover Square, 16 APR 1838. Eliza was born 1818. Eliza was the daughter of Robert Ellice and Eliza(beth) Courtney. Eliza died 8 MAR 1899 in Pelham House, Lewes, Sussex, at 80 years of age.
