| Born Mary Elizabeth
Spacek in Texas in 1949, Sissy first gained attention in the 1970s
for performances in Badlands (1973) and Carrie (1977).
She won an Oscar in 1980 for her portrayal of Loretta Lynn in Coal
Miner's Daughter and has worked steadily since playing a wide
range of characters. Sissy (a nickname given to her by her brothers
growing up) has been married to production-director Jack Fisk since
1974 and has two daughters. |
