He married Abigail Stebbins. Abigail was born in Silver Creek Twp., Illinois 30 Apr 1842.⁽²⁶⁾ Abigail was the daughter of Sidney Joel Stebbins and Jane Stearns. Abigail died 15 May 1925 in Freeport, Stephenson, Illinois, at 83 years of age.⁽²⁷⁾

Edward Silas Brown and Abigail Stebbins had the following children:
