22. Sidney Joel⁴ Stebbins (Joel⁵, Joel⁶, Aaron⁷, Joseph⁸, Joseph⁹, Thomas¹⁰, Rowland¹¹) was born in Lebanon, Madison, New York 22 Sep 1813.⁽⁴⁰⁾ Sidney died 22 Aug 1895 in Stephenson County, Illinois, at 81 years of age.⁽⁴¹⁾

He married Jane Stearns in Eden, Erie, New York, 17 Nov 1838.⁽⁴²⁾ Jane was born in Rochester, St. Lawrence, New York 22 Jul 1817.⁽⁴³⁾ Jane was the daughter of Isaac Stearns and Margret Clark. Jane died 7 May 1898 in Stephenson County, Illinois, at 80 years of age.⁽⁴⁴⁾

Sidney Joel Stebbins and Jane Stearns had the following children:

23 i. Joel Ernest³ Stebbins was born 6 Feb 1841.⁽⁴⁵⁾ Joel died 28 Sep 1864 at 23 years of age.⁽⁴⁶⁾

+ 15 ii. Abigail Stebbins was born 30 Apr 1842.

24 iii. Adelbert Stebbins was born 16 Aug 1845.⁽⁴⁷⁾ He married Jeannettie Orton.

25 iv. Homer Franklin Stebbins was born in Freeport, Stephenson, Illinois 15 Jun 1848.⁽⁴⁸⁾ He married Catherine M. Wakefield 27 Mar 1874.⁽⁴⁹⁾ Catherine was born in Bombay, Franklin, New York 28 May 1853.

26 v. Emma Jane Stebbins was born 8 Apr 1850.⁽⁵⁰⁾ Emma died 7 Nov 1864 at 14 years of age.⁽⁵¹⁾

27 vi. Warren Wayne Stebbins was born in Freeport, Stephenson, Illinois 27 Feb 1853.⁽⁵²⁾ He married Mary Allen Schreiber in Freeport, Stephenson, Illinois, 30 Sep 1875.⁽⁵³⁾ Mary was born in Ridott, Stephenson, Illinois 12 Dec 1854.

28 vii. James Stebbins was born 30 Aug 1855.⁽⁵⁴⁾ James died 13 Sep 1876 at 21 years of age.⁽⁵⁵⁾
