8. Mary² Stillwell (Nicholas³) was born in Newark, New Jersey 6 Sep 1855. Mary died 9 Aug 1884 at 28 years of age.

She married Thomas Alva Edison 25 Dec 1871. Thomas was born in Milan, Erie, Ohio 11 Feb 1847. Thomas was the son of Samuel Ogden Edison and Nancy Elliot. Thomas died 18 Oct 1931 in West Orange, Essex, New Jersey, at 84 years of age. (See Thomas Alva Edison for the children resulting from this marriage.)
